The Polaris Experience,

This last year has been quite the journey for me as an artist, and whilst my lawyer and i were fighting for my rights, i wrote what i feel is my best work to date “The Polaris Experience”

So, while i am applying to the prs women-make-music award , while i budget, fill in the tomb of application forms for the arts council and write letters to music moguls and philanthropists, i thought it high time that the people who know me and enjoy my work knew where i am at and exactly what’s going on these days.

So i made this kickstarter!

This simply wouldn’t have happened without Bob Earland, his production skills, ears and sensitivity to the vision have made it sound as massive as it does.

Thankyou Bob.

Starting out as a concept album TPE has slowly grown into a site specific, lights out, audio-visual and multi-disciplined experience.

And so, in order to realize this in its totality and to the complete vision in the way i feel it should be done, I have put my neck on the line and booked a London West End theatre to showcase the experience this coming January, 28 2015

The album itself, is an immersive composition it’s a lyrical and sophisticated adventure of soundscapes and emotive storytelling. Live, the music transcends into an experience, manipulating the environment of the audience into a multi-sensory and stimulating performance including screens, dance, visuals and props.

It’s a big and expensive undertaking and i am hoping that some of you will take this opportunity to back up what is truely an independent release.

Inspired by space, futurism, love and technology; influenced by Air, Cardiacs, Bowie, Slavas Snowshow and Pink Floyd - this is a concept album that has been written for you lose yourself in wherever you may hear it.

Right now i am making the measurements, discussing the movement , sourcing the live artists and putting together picture that will accompany the journey.

This performance is obsolete without it’s audience. And you are the star of the show.

This is your chance to be a part of the concept, hear the album and to join in on a multidimensional and immersive journey.

these will be the very best tickets in the house…

I hope to see you there.

NORWAY - A Time-Lapse Adventure from Rustad Media on Vimeo.

Please watch in HD with good speakers for the optimal experience.
You can watch it in 4K here: youtube.com/watch?v=Scxs7L0vhZ4

This is a time-lapse video resulting from a 15,000 km (almost 10,000 miles) long road trip and tens of thousands of images taken along the way over the last 5 months. The journey has covered all of Norway’s 19 counties, from the far south to the Russian border in the Northeast.

The aim of this 5 minute short film is to show the variety of Norway, everything from the deep fjords in the Southwest, to the moon landscape in the North, the Aurora Borealis (Nothern Lights) and the settlements and cities around the country, both in summer and wintertime. The video shows some of the most scenic places in Norway, such as Lofoten, Senja, Helgelandskysten, Geirangerfjorden, Nærøyfjorden and Preikestolen.

If you are interested in reading the tales, seeing behind-the-scenes photos from the journey and a map of the route driven, head over to rustadmedia.com

The soundtrack is custom-made for this film by the very talented fellow Norwegian Jogeir Daae Mæland.
